Missing....

When Amaya got home from school last Friday with all her girlfriends for her party...............they went straight to the chicks.

A: Mom, Mario is missing.

M: What? Let's look again. (so we looked, and sure enough, no Mario)

Next thing you know, I have 11 kids running around my house and looking in the woods for this tiny little chick.

M: Amaya, there is no way that a little chick would have made it that deep into the woods, I think maybe a cat came into the garage and took the chick or something.

A: Sob, Sob....I miss Mario.

After a little (I mean minute) distraction, the kids were back to playing, but we were still missing the little chick, Mario.

Fast forward to Sunday afternoon after I got back from South Haven.....

We took little Peep out to play a little in the yard, it was so cute, then tucked him back into his box and carefully put the lid back on so that he couldn't get out. A little later, Amaya filled the water thing and put it back in. She put it kind of close to the side of the box, where there is a small opening....About 1 1/2 hours later....

Amaya: Uh oh, Peep is missing..( I think they must have jumped out, then something got them when they went into the yard, without a chick sitter)

Now, I have been calling many places, and it is a bit hard to find chicks, so maybe on Sunday while I am at work, Scott will take them to Coopersville to get some more chicks. That would be a huge feat for him, as he doesn't like to take the kids out of the house when he has to take them all. We will see.
