Scott, Ryan and I went for a short walk last night, on the way back, I noticed the cutest caterpillar crawling around on Scott's shirt. This thing reminds me of a fluffy puppy that just had it's hair done with a pretty little bow placed by it's ear. I have never seen a caterpillar like this. 
He rode on Scott's back the entire way home, when we showed Ryan, he immediately knocked it off and tried to squish it with a shovel. Poor little cute pillar. 
Ryan has no fear of bugs. He is always trying to pick them up, even spiders or bees. In fact, (this is really gross) when he was really little and had just started walking around, he ate a dead spider off my basement floor. I couldn't get to him quick enough when I realized what he was going for. Blah!I am really surprised that he was just going at this pillar with the shovel. He isn't usually this brutal with the bugs!

That's funny. Emma loves bugs, but I don't think she's ever tried to eat them. I did have a nephew who was caught eating the dead bugs off of the van's front grill. Yeah, gross. Plus, there's always Joel...who knows what he's up to :)
The caterpillar really does look like a fluffy dog with a bow. How funny!
i have never seen a caterpillar like this before? did ry kill him? or did you keep him to see what he will turn into?
while up north we FINALLY found some caterpillars! three. one is already made it's chrysalis and the others are munching and growing like crazy!
it was a fun ride home trying to balance those little suckers on my lap (the one was already in J form dangling from the top) i guess they must be used to that though with wind and all.
I bet that strange caterpiller will be a moth and not a butterfly. But who knows. I love the monarchs best and their lovely chrysalis.
